Navajo gold and silversmith, Leo Yazzie, was born and raised in Black Mesa, Arizona. He has been working as an artist for over 30 years. His designs are heavily influenced by his late mother and grandmother's rug designs. His intricate cutouts reflect storm weaving designs and can also be interpreted as reflections of the dramatic mesas and monuments of Navajo land. Leo's work incorporates these beautiful designs created in silver and gold with exquisitely inlaid natural turquoise, red and pink coral, sugulite, lapis, and opal.
Leo Yazzie is a highly collectible, multiple-award winning artist whose work we are honored to represent and whose friendship we treasure.
